Valerie Bryant-Carroll
(Posthumously)
Val was instrumental in setting up Benelong Haven Rehabilitation Centre in Marrickville NSW for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people with an alcohol problem. Val has worked for the betterment of her fellow Aboriginal people. She has been known for her work in her immediate and extended community where she has cared about other Aboriginal people who suffered with drug and alcohol problems.

Janet Hammill
Jan is the Senior Researcher at Synapse in Brisbane, QLD. Jan’s commitment both through her paid employment and her volunteer work in the Indigenous drug and alcohol sector has been huge. She has worked tirelessly in research, advocacy, the support of individuals living with FASD and the mentoring of other professionals with similar interests.

Steve Ella
Steve has been working in the Aboriginal drug and alcohol sector for almost 20 years and has been a strong and consistent advocate for Aboriginal drug and alcohol workers and communities.

Coralie Ober
Coralie has been dedicated to working in the alcohol and other drugs sector at a state, national and international level for over 20 years. She is a Research Fellow at the Queensland Alcohol and Drug Research and Education Centre at the University of Queensland.
